Leaving Microsoft to Change the World #1

Serious osem! [sungguh tak tipu]

Buku travelog tulisan John Wood betul-betul luar biasa. (Terus terang, aku bukanlah peminat buku-buku tebal beratus muka surat) -.-'

*owh, snap on my face!....insaf...betapa beruntungnya diri, ada peluang belajar sampai unibersiti! -sekali lagi mata masuk habuk-      -.-'

[pg: 283]

"Saya bukanlah mahu terus berangan-angan.

"..dalam masa kurang daripada dua minit, kami (Room to Read) menerima sumbangan sebanyak US 150k!"

Meow!

Sambung #2  ^^

p/s: Leaving Microsoft to Change The World - Kisah realiti yang penuh inspirasi, bukan sekadar novel fantasi yang tinggi melangit tak jejak ke bumi. A novel worth reading.

Because of the key, he embraced Islam #1

When I read surah An-Nisa: verse 58, I remembered a very beautiful and touching story related to the key of Kaabah on the Day of "Fath" (Opening/victory) of Makkah. The day when the Messenger of Allah entered Mecca (House of Allah) with calmness and tranquility, gallantly and victoriously. This verse tells the story of one of the several events in the Qur'an which is related to the story of how Allah reprimand His messenger, Rasulullah (peace be upon him). Indeed, every chapter and verse in the Qur'an has a great reminder for those who think.

Uthman Ibn Talhah,

Before the conquest of Mecca, the keys of the Kaaba (house of Allah) were in the custody of Uthman Ibn Talha, the leader of Bani Syaibah*.  After Prophet Muhammad and his companions successfully reclaim and gained control over the Mecca in the 8th year of Hijra, the messenger wanted to enter the kaaba, but found it (its door) locked.

Uthman ibn Talhah (who was not a muslim at that time) did not believe that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah and he locked the door so that Muhammad (peace be upon him) would not enter the Kaaba. The Prophet then ordered Ali Ibn Abi talib to take the key from Uthman, but Uthman denied him. Ali then snatched the key from him (Uthman), and opened the door. The prophet entered the Kaaba and destroyed all the idols that were inside.

After that, Jibril (the Angel) came down to the prophet with this verse:

"Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are belong to ....."

Allah subhana wa taala is commanding prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to return the key to Uthman Ibn Talhah. Just Imagine, a few minutes ago, the key was in the prophet's hand. During that time also, Ibn Abbas (Muhammad's uncle) requested that these keys be kept in the family (Means: Uthman ibn Talhah has no right to keep the key!)

But:
"O, Muhammad, give the key back to Uthman "

Thats the order/revelation given by Allah upon Rasulullah (peace be upon him). Instead of giving the key to his uncle, Rasulullah (peace be upon him) returned it to Uthman Ibn Talhah. Allahuakbar! -.-' How beautiful the teachings of Allah towards his messenger......

I could see and feel how excellent the teaching of Allah towards his beloved messenger. This verse tells me of how Allah reprimand the prophet to render trust (Amanah) to whom  it belong to. Some point to remember is that, keeping the keys of the Holy Kaaba was a great honor and every one among the companions of the prophet was very eager and hopeful that He (Muhammad) would entrust the keys to him.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered Ali to give the key back to Uthman and said to Uthman that no one would ever remove the keys from his possession after that day. Ali ibn Talib also excuse himself for the manner in which he has snatched the key.

The return of the keys of Kaaba surprised Uthman very much, since the Prophet is the conqueror of Mecca at that time, he could keep these keys for good. Uthman ibn Talha was highly amazed by the character of the Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him).

He (Uthman) immediately said:

"I bear witness that indeed Allah is one
and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is none other than messenger of Allah  "

Allahu rabbi (Allah is my lord)...just imagine, He (Uthman) accepted Islam as his religion, recognized Muhammad (peace be upon him) as Allah's messenger and believe that Allah is one immediately after that event.

Today, the family of this great sahabi (the companions of the prophet) is protected by police and they are protected by the government. Such a powerful revelation from the Qur'an. It's already 1400 years....A miracle up until today. The keys is still in the hands of the same family members.

p/s: I'm amazed & inspired by this video. Tears falling down (in my heart) when I heard Mufti Ismail Menk explained the story behind this verse. May Allah bless Syeikh Ismail Menk and grant him jannah. Amen!

p/s: Let us not forget to reflect on this story when we read verse 58 of surah An'Nisa. I'm planning to share another beautiful story on how Allah reprimand his messenger. May Allah make it easier for me.

Jangan Pernah Berhenti,

Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah & Alhamdulillah! [Praise to God]........there is no word better than this to express my feeling after the final exam is over! 5 papers for this semester, may all the knowledge I learn will guide me to enter His Jannah and beneficial to the Ummah.

Wish the best for my friends. They still have a few more papers this week. Allah bless them. (Credit)
Just want to share some 'poem' i wrote during my examination. Of course I make sure all questions have been answered first....=) About 15 minutes before the time runs out, suddenly, comes the idea to write something on my question paper...takut idea yang datang tiba-tiba, terus lenyap dari kotak memori, so i decided to write it down on my question paper....

Jangan Pernah Berhenti,

Teruslah bergerak & berjuang demi agama ini,
Masih ramai jiwa-jiwa manusia yang dahagakan cahaya & petunjuk illahi,
Carilah mereka, dekatilah mereka,
Itulah tanggungjawab & Sunnah para Anbia.

Jangan Pernah Berhenti,

Mengajak manusia kembali kepada Tuhan,
Kembali pada asal fitrah kejadian,
Kembali untuk menjadi hamba sebaik-baik ciptaan.

Jangan Pernah Berhenti,

Sebaik-baik tempat kembali, itulah Syurga yang abadi,
Seburuk-buruk tempat kembali, itulah Neraka yang digeruni,
Mahukah Engkau merasa azab yang tak terperi?

Jangan Pernah Berhenti,

Iman & amal dua kembar sejati,
Terpisah keduanya, tidak menjamin redha Illahi,
Digabungkan keduanya,itulah syarat kemenangan hakiki.

Talk is cheap, but making it true is PRECIOUS.

Currently, I'm having  my final exam for this semester.

Only one paper left (out of 5 papers). This Monday (16 Jan). Pray for me. Amen

During this exam's week, I spent most of my time in library. (Terutama waktu malam).
Yup, UM library is now my 2nd home. Even though, boleh ja belajar dekat rumah sewa, lengkap dengan kemudahan meja, kerusi, buku-buku..etc. But, somehow I choose to go to library. Why?
Dekat rumah ada internet berkelajuan tinggi, nak pergi UM kena pikir transport lagi, minyak moto lagi. Leceh. Buat apa nak susah kan diri? Kufur nikmat!
Well, the answer is simple. It is about developing a positive Habit

For me, it's not merely going to library (dah la sejuk!  -.-"), but it is my attempt, my effort to develop a good habit. One hour of my study in library is totally different with one hour at home.

Library = my 2nd home  (Credit)

A specific habit that I want to develop here is :

"Keghairahan  menuntut ilmu dengan fokus & prioriti"
&
"disiplin untuk peruntukkan masa sekurang-kurangnya 1-2 jam untuk belajar"

So, I think library would be the most effective and convenient place to develop this particular habit. I'm tired of making promise to myself. Janji mahu serius study dekat rumah sewa. Janji tinggal janji. Study entah kemana, banyak buang masa ada la. Contoh, dekat rumah, if dalam 1 jam, maybe 10-15 minit pertama ja yang betul-betul buat revision/study, another 45 minutes? Well it goes for internet surfing, blog walking, Fb, YM, chatting with housemates...etc). Unproductive time! Oh God, I really hate this attitude!

Keghairahan = passionate = eager to do something = your desire

I can choose either to study or not to study. (Credit)

Without a strong desire, nothing would happened. It just a dream. Everyday I will go to the library because it happens by one small act, duplicated over and over, for a period of time!

Fokus & Prioriti

Keep organize and know which topic do you want to study. (Credit)

Step aside unimportant stuff like oversleeping, 'fasad booking' (Fb)...etc...I just remembered my previous post about thesis + facebook

I found this place in library (3rd floor) as the most convenient site to study (Credit)

I'm definitely gonna miss this place after grad!  -.-' (Credit)

Alhamdulliah, God helps me. I'm able to focus during my study is due to His will. Janji untuk fokus study sudah di buat but as the title above stated "Talk is cheap, but making it true is PRECIOUS". That's my principle. The prophet (peace be upon him) is the best example to learn. He said something and he's the one who will do it first.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellent, then, is not an act, but a habit"
Aristotle

p/s: Lets us study for the sake of Allah, have a pure intentions to help the Ummah. May the knowledge we gained will guide us to enter His Jannah. Ameen
